Markets spent the week trying to recover — and mostly faking it. Monday kicked things off with a near-1,000-point Dow drop, thanks to Trump torching the Fed and safe havens like gold and Bitcoin going vertical. Tuesday gave us a big bounce, but it smelled a lot like short-covering, not real conviction. By midweek, reality hit: Tesla missed earnings, PepsiCo blamed tariffs, and IBM warned that client budgets are getting tight. Futures faded into Thursday as traders braced for Amazon's upcoming report, while Bitcoin slipped under $93K and gold kept sipping champagne above $3,500. By Friday, the Dow barely clung to a three-day win, but the bigger picture stayed the same — optimism was fragile, and fundamentals were still flashing yellow.
